Odyssey Logistic, a logistics company, has raised a $1.1 billion Series A round from venture capital firm Sequoia Capital.
The company aims to bring logistics to consumers in a big way by helping them plan and execute logistics logistics for their business.
Odyssey Logistical has developed a smart and secure data-driven system that allows businesses to monitor their entire supply chain from source to end, ensuring they are meeting their deadlines, as well as saving money on supplies and labor.
Odyssey also uses AI to identify and respond to potential supply issues, so they can avoid unnecessary labor and materials expenses.
Odyssey’s business models, such as the one outlined in this article, could eventually be integrated with existing supply chains to save consumers money, reduce the need for expensive warehouses and help them save money on labor.
The startup plans to launch a beta version of its smart logistics platform by the end of 2018.
Odyssey has raised more than $2.4 billion from over 1,000 investors.
