More than 3,000 Canadian companies, many with huge operations in the US, are expected to suffer losses from the coronavalirus pandemics, according to a report published Monday.
The study by Mercer Global Advisory Services, which surveyed more than 100 companies, found that a number of them were also hit by the virus.
It also said they were among the sectors with the most likely to suffer from disruptions and the potential to be negatively impacted by any further coronaviruses.
The firm said the report found that of the companies surveyed, almost half of them had had to lay off employees due to the coronas, while the remainder were facing potential layoffs and restructuring as a result of the pandemic.
