When will it be over?

By MICHAEL E. BERNSTEINAssociated Press writerWASHINGTON (AP) President Donald Trump says his administration is on track to meet its fiscal 2018 spending goal of $1 trillion and is working on a new infrastructure bill to pay for it.

The White House announced Friday that Trump is signing an executive order directing the Treasury Department to submit a plan for $1.2 trillion in infrastructure spending over 10 years.

Trump’s order, signed Friday, directs the Treasury secretary to submit the proposed plan by the end of March.

The Trump administration says it has a $1,000-per-day budget surplus in its first 100 days.

Trump also says it’s on track for a $2 trillion surplus in the next 10 years, including a $600 billion stimulus plan.
